Multi Skilled Engineer(Electrical Bias) – Manchester

Overview

Static Electrical Engineer position based in Manchester for a leading UK Facilities Management provider. This is a static site role offering a chance to take ownership of electrical maintenance, ensure regulatory compliance, and deliver high-quality service to clients and contractors. Salary £40,000 – £42,000 plus benefits.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across electrical systems.
• Install, inspect, and maintain electrical equipment in accordance with current regulations.
• Diagnose and rectify electrical faults to minimise disruption.
• Manage your own workload and work independently on site.
• Liaise effectively with clients and contractors to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with Health & Safety procedures.
• Report progress and escalate issues promptly.
• Maintain accurate records and complete all necessary documentation.
• Deliver a high standard of workmanship and customer service.

Qualifications

• Essential:
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification
• NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation qualification
• AM2 (Achievement Measurement 2) qualification
• Proven experience working as an Electrical Engineer within Facilities Management or Building Services environments
• Strong electrical fault-finding, diagnostics, and maintenance skills
• Ability to work confidently and independently on site
• Excellent communication skills with experience liaising with clients, contractors, and internal teams
• Strong understanding of Health & Safety requirements, safe working practices, and compliance standards
• Reliable, proactive, and highly organised approach to work

• Desirable:
• Experience within commercial building services or static FM environments
• Knowledge of compliance procedures and statutory maintenance requirements
• Additional multi-skilled experience
