Overview
Gallagher Natural Resources division is looking for a downstream oil and gas risk engineer to join their expanding team of accomplished risk engineers. The role involves both on-site and desktop-based risk assessment of downstream and midstream energy assets and infrastructure worldwide.
Responsibilities
- Travel globally to meet clients and assess midstream and downstream assets for process safety, mechanical integrity, active and passive fire protection, process control, and emergency response.
- Conduct on-site risk assessments and produce market reports detailing findings.
- Engage daily with brokers to support bid presentations, insurance technical clarifications, maximum loss studies, and client roadshow presentations to insurance markets.
Qualifications
- Working knowledge or industrial experience with downstream and/or midstream oil and gas assets such as refineries, upgraders, gas plants, fractionators, LNG facilities, pipelines, or compressor stations.
- Insurance industry experience is advantageous but not essential.
- Strong technical background across midstream and downstream sectors; flexibility to shape role around experience and strengths.
