Alongside gaining a Level 3 AAT Apprenticeship you will gain valuable hands-on work experience while working towards a recognised qualification.
We are a family run Chartered Accountancy practice based in the centre of Wakefield providing accountancy, tax and business advisory services to SMEs across Wakefield and West Yorkshire. We believe in building relationships with our clients to work with them to achieve their goals by providing clarity, insight, and flexibility, helping them to make informed decisions, understand their figures clearly, and grow with confidence knowing they have trusted support by their side at every stage.
Responsibilities
- Preparation of basic accounts and tax for sole traders and partnerships prior to manager review
- Assisting the team in the completion of bookkeeping and Making Tax Digital for Income Tax Returns timely and accurately on Xero, QuickBooks, Excel spreadsheets and other software as required, including assistance in the compilation of VAT returns
- Communicating directly with clients to resolve queries and build strong relationships
- Working on the corporate and personal tax needs of our clients
- Supporting the team in the preparation of other ad-hoc jobs as required
- Support for administrative tasks such as scanning and filing
- Opportunity to use and develop AI-enabled systems to improve our workflows and client offerings, supported by onboarding workshops and ongoing training
Training Outcome
After successful completion of the Level 3 AAT apprenticeship there is the opportunity to complete the Level 4 AAT qualification. We are looking for someone who wants a long term career in accountancy and within our team.
