Overview

A high-performing secondary school in Wolverhampton is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated Geography Teacher to join its successful teaching team from September 2026. This role is suitable for an experienced Geography Teacher or an Early Career Geography Teacher (ECT) and offers the opportunity to teach across Key Stages 3 and 4, with KS5 teaching where appropriate. The school is recognised for supportive leadership, excellent student behaviour and a commitment to staff wellbeing and career progression.

You will deliver engaging, high-quality lessons across KS3 and KS4, with the potential to teach KS5. You will work within a collaborative department to maintain high academic standards and create an inclusive and inspiring learning environment for all students.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons that inspire and challenge students.
  • Teach Geography across KS3 and KS4, with KS5 lessons where appropriate.
  • Monitor student progress and provide meaningful feedback to support achievement.
  • Create a positive, inclusive and purposeful classroom environment.
  • Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of all learners.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school through enrichment activities and departmental initiatives.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain high standards of teaching and learning.

About You

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Have experience teaching Geography across KS3 and KS4.
  • Be confident teaching KS5 (desirable but not essential).
  • Demonstrate excellent subject knowledge and a genuine passion for education.
  • Be committed to delivering high-quality teaching and learning.
  • Possess excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • Build positive relationships with students, colleagues and parents.
  • Have the right to work in the UK.
