Internal Audit Associates
Location: Various
Contract Type: Casual
Overview
The Central Midlands Audit Partnership (CMAP) hosted by Derby City Council is a progressive Internal Audit Partnership, delivering a professional internal audit service to several Councils and Public Authorities in Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire and Warwickshire. CMAP currently provides internal audit services to eight Councils, the East Midlands Combined County Authority, Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Authority and a Housing ALMO.
We are establishing a dynamic and responsive “pool” of highly skilled internal auditors to support our evolving internal audit and assurance needs. The purpose of maintaining a bank or pool of Internal Auditors is to provide CMAP with flexible, on‑demand audit capacity that can be drawn upon during peak periods of activity or when specialist skills are required, without the need to recruit permanent staff. The work is inherently seasonal and variable and therefore roles within the pool are offered on a non‑permanent, as‑needed basis rather than as fixed, ongoing positions.
We are inviting expressions of interest from independent, motivated professionals who can provide ad-hoc, expert internal audit services across the partnership and make a tangible impact on our partner organisations’ governance, risk management, and control processes.
Benefits of Joining CMAP as an Internal Auditor Associate
- Flexibility: Work on assignments that fit your schedule and professional interests, including flexible and hybrid working arrangements
- Variety: Gain exposure to different organisations and challenges across the Partnership
- Competitive Day Rates: Highly competitive remuneration
- Impact: Play a role in enhancing our operational integrity
