Hybrid Senior Financial Accountant — Governance Lead

Wellcome Sanger Institute is seeking an experienced Senior Financial Accountant to lead the Financial Accounting and Transactional Finance Control Service. You will deliver statutory accounts, oversee close processes and VAT compliance while guiding a team and partnering with senior stakeholders.

In this role you will provide technical accounting leadership, drive governance and contribute to continuous improvement across financial processes and systems, including auditing readiness.
