IDAM Engineer – Liverpool | Hybrid | Permanent Role

Join a highly regarded financial services organisation with a long-standing heritage and national presence. You will play a key role within the Technology function, taking ownership of identity lifecycle management and access governance using Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD). The role is permanent, hybrid (3 days onsite), with a salary of £60,000 per annum and extensive benefits.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimise Joiner‑Mover‑Leaver (JML) workflows using Entra ID Lifecycle Workflows.
• Develop automation using PowerShell, Graph API, and Azure CLI.
• Implement role‑based access control (RBAC) and entitlement management.
• Conduct access reviews and recertification campaigns for sensitive access.
• Administer Privileged Identity Management (PIM) and Just‑In‑Time access.
• Maintain directory hygiene, governance standards, and data integrity.
• Support audit and compliance activities (ISO27001, GDPR, ISAE 3402).

Qualifications

• Strong experience with Microsoft Entra ID / Azure AD.
• Hands‑on experience with identity lifecycle (JML), RBAC, and access governance.
• Experience integrating identity platforms with HR systems (e.g., SAP SuccessFactors).
• Automation experience with scripting (PowerShell or APIs).
• Knowledge of PIM, Access Reviews, Conditional Access, and MFA.
• Experience working within regulated environments is preferred.
• Strong communication, documentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Candidate must be eligible for full DBS and full financial vetting checks.
• Desirable skills and certifications: ServiceNow experience, ITIL v4 Foundation, Microsoft certifications (SC‑300, SC‑200, SC‑100).
