Grant Thornton is looking for an Audit Assistant Manager to support a growing client base in the fast‑developing financial services market. The role focuses on ensuring high‑quality audit outputs, managing client relationships, and contributing to business growth.
Responsibilities
- Consistently achieve deadlines and understand the commercial implications of audit activities on productivity, recoverability, fee income and client service.
- Act as the key client contact on day‑to‑day matters and lead engagements with large, technically complex clients.
- Highlight all key issues that may affect the audit opinion to the partner and make recommendations for appropriate action.
- Ensure all audit reports meet set reporting and auditing standards, serving as a point of reference for best practice.
- Provide regular communication and feedback while encouraging training and development for yourself and others.
- Act as a trusted business adviser to clients, managing a key client portfolio and building strong relationships with colleagues and clients.
- Organise and attend office marketing events, promote the firm’s services, and suggest innovative products to meet client needs.
- Prepare and present proposals for new work, building a personal network from which referrals are received.
Qualifications
- Professional qualification (ACA, CA, ACCA or equivalent).
- Experience managing statutory audits for financial services clients.
- Willingness to support and work with professionals returning to auditing after career breaks.
