Roofer – Welwyn Garden City
Salary: 33,000 Basic + Overtime + Excellent Benefits
We are currently recruiting for an experienced and motivated Roofer to join a growing maintenance team working on behalf of a leading national discount retailer. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with roofing maintenance experience who is looking for a long-term career with a well-established company that offers regular overtime, ongoing training, and an excellent benefits package.
The Role
Working as part of a two-person team, you will be integral in delivering planned and reactive roofing maintenance across retail sites throughout Hertfordshire. Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting with the inspection, maintenance, and repair of various roofing systems, including slate, metal, and felt roofs
- Cleaning and clearing gutters, downpipes, and drainage systems
- Supporting roof repair and preventative maintenance works
- Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard
- Delivering a professional and customer-focused service on site
- Recording job information using company systems and basic IT applications
- Travelling to customer locations as required
About You
To be considered, you will have:
- Previous experience within roofing maintenance, repairs, or a similar roofing environment
- Knowledge of roofing systems, gutters, and downpipes
- Good communication and customer service skills
- A full UK driving licence
- Basic IT skills
- A flexible approach to working hours and travel requirements
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team
Desirable
- MEWP (Mobile Elevated Work Platform) qualification
Training can be provided for the successful candidate if required.
Location
Ideally, applicants will be based in or around the Welwyn Garden City area to support travel across the region.
