Job Overview

This multi‑faceted role requires the Vanguard Practice Educator to act as a change agent, role model, trainer and assessor within Coventry and Warwickshire’s West Midlands Vanguard for integrated children and young people care. The position focuses on children who have experienced complex trauma and adversity, and involves collaboration with other Practice Educators, the Deputy Vanguard Lead, the Consultant Clinical Lead and the Vanguard partnership Lead to drive systemic and cultural change.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, deliver and evaluate high‑quality training for professionals across sectors.
  • Act as a change agent, role model, trainer and assessor for the Vanguard practice.
  • Support professionals in understanding presenting behaviour within the context of trauma.
  • Collaborate closely with the Vanguard partnership to implement systemic and cultural improvements.

Key Qualifications

  • Right to work in the UK with no sponsorship required.
  • Recognised teaching qualification desirable.
  • Knowledge of trauma desirable.
  • Experience in training and assessment preferred.
  • Will be exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974; a satisfactory DBS check is required.
