Location: The normal place of work will be the diocesan offices in Exeter with the possibility of some homeworking.
We are looking for someone to join our team to work directly with churches and church schools to reduce our impact on the environment. We’ve declared a Climate Emergency and set a target to work towards Net Zero by 2030. We’re looking for someone who believes in the gift of creation, with a passion for helping communities take action on climate change and realising new eco‑mission opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Work directly with churches and church schools to reduce environmental impact.
- Support and enable communities to find solutions to climate challenges.
- Collaborate closely with the Net Carbon Zero Officer and the Diocese of Truro on the net zero journey.
- Participate in the national network of Diocesan Environment Officers for peer learning and support.
Qualifications
- Passion for environmental stewardship and climate action.
- Ability to inspire, empathise and support communities.
