Class 2 Refuse Driver

Thorn Baker Industrial Recruitment is looking for Class 2 Refuse Drivers for immediate starts in Ilkeston to work for a well known waste-collection client.

About the client

This client has over 50,000 households and provides household waste collection, recycling and garden waste services. As a key worker you will work with the local authority team to ensure residents receive the high standard of service they expect.

Highlights

• £14.13 for 1st 12 weeks – then increases with service (overtime paid at premium rate)
• Paid for a full day, finish when the work is done
• Stable day shifts 06.00‑14.00 approximately (work until task finish)
• Temporary ongoing work that could become permanent for the right candidate
• Full PPE provided

Job Role

• Driving around the local area to collect household waste, recycling and garden waste
• Help loaders load the vehicle if short staffed
• Monday to Friday (bank holidays and overtime paid at a premium rate)
• Assist the team in loading the vehicle

Requirements

• Category C licence, CPC and a digital tachograph card
• Previous experience driving a refuse wagon is desirable but not essential
• Available for induction this week or next
• Available to start immediately
