Principal Geotechnical Engineer – Glasgow
Salary: £55,000 – £70,000
A fantastic opportunity has become available for a Principal Geotechnical Engineer to join a well-established multidisciplinary consultancy in Glasgow. This role will see you leading geotechnical projects across the minerals and quarrying sector, providing technical expertise on a range of challenging developments throughout the UK.
Responsibilities
- Leading geotechnical projects within the minerals and quarrying sector.
- Quarry slope stability assessments and design.
- Geotechnical interpretation and reporting.
- Planning and supervising ground investigations.
- Earthworks and rock engineering assessments.
- Client management and business development.
- Mentoring and reviewing the work of junior engineers.
- Working closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver technically robust solutions.
Qualifications
- A degree in Civil Engineering, Engineering Geology or Geotechnical Engineering.
- Significant consultancy experience within geotechnical engineering.
- Strong knowledge of quarrying, mining or minerals projects.
- Experience producing detailed geotechnical design reports.
- Chartered status (CEng or equivalent), or be working towards it.
- Excellent communication and project management skills.
- A full UK driving licence.
