Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities
- Prepare clear planning appraisals, statements and strategic advice.
- Manage planning applications and coordinate technical inputs.
- Maintain regular, professional communication with clients and project teams.
- Negotiate constructively with local planning authorities and other stakeholders.
- Support larger instructions while steadily increasing your own project responsibility.
About you
RTPI‑accredited degree; good research and writing; interest in regeneration and strategic planning. You should also be organized, dependable and able to explain planning issues in straightforward language. The business is interested in people who value good advice and long‑term client relationships rather than unnecessary internal politics.
You are not expected to know everything on day one. What matters is a sound academic base, some practical understanding of the planning system and the judgement to ask for support when needed.
Package and Working Arrangements
The salary is £30,000–£39,000. The wider package includes hybrid working, structured training, pension, professional fees and chartership support. Exact arrangements will depend on experience and will be discussed openly during the process.
