About the Company

Our client is a well-established and successful manufacturing business based in Enniskillen.

They are currently seeking an experienced Accounts Administrator to join their busy Accounts department. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and detail-focused individual with previous accounts experience to join a supportive and established team.

The Role

The successful candidate will provide administrative support across the sales and purchase ledgers, ensuring customer and supplier invoices are processed accurately and on time.

You will also be responsible for account reconciliations, resolving invoice queries and maintaining regular contact with customers regarding outstanding payments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Check customer and supplier invoices to ensure all information is accurate.
  • Prepare and issue customer invoices in a timely manner.
  • Maintain spreadsheets, sales ledgers and purchase ledgers.
  • Reconcile financial accounts and direct debit payments.
  • Contact customers to ensure invoices have been approved and cleared for payment.
  • Investigate and resolve invoice queries with customers, suppliers and internal departments.
  • Escalate disputed, overdue or complex accounts when required.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date notes across internal software systems.
  • Follow established Accounts department processes and procedures.
  • Support the wider Accounts team in achieving departmental and business objectives.
  • Complete any additional duties requested by management to support the efficient running of the department.

Essential Criteria

  • Previous experience working within an Accounts or finance environment.
  • Experience or understanding of account reconciliations.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office packages, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Ability to work accurately under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organisational and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to use initiative and manage competing priorities.

Desirable Criteria

  • A relevant Business, Finance or Accounting qualification.
  • Previous experience using Sage 1000.
  • Experience working with sales and purchase ledgers.
  • Previous experience within a manufacturing or construction-related environment.
