We have a very rare opportunity for a Multi-Skilled Electrical Maintenance fitter to join our client based in Corby. This role is due to retirement with the position starting at the beginning of September. Our client are part of a global company who are a well established manufacturing and industrial business. We are looking for a hands on engineer with an electrical bias and a strong mechanical knowledge to become part of a small but busy supportive engineering team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing production machinery, responding to breakdowns and helping to ensure maximum productivity and minimum downtime.
Key ResponsibilitiesTo carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on production machinery and site equipmentRespond quickly to breakdowns and reactive maintenance requirementsDiagnose and fault find on both electrical and mechanical systemsMaintain and repair motors, drives, conveyors, rollers, hydraulics, pneumatics and sensorsWork on 3-phase systems and electrical panelsAssist with machinery installations, upgrades ad improvementsSchedule PPM work weeklyEnsure all maintenance is completed safely and in line with company proceduresAccurately complete all maintenance records and documentation.
Skills and Candidate RequirementsNVQ, C & G or recognised apprenticeship in Engineering or electrical maintenance.18th edition would be desirable but not essential.PC Fault finding would be advantageous.Previously worked within a maintenance engineer or maintenance fitter roleElectrically biased with strong mechanical fault finding skillsExperience within a manufacturing, industrial or heavy engineering environment.Be familiar with electrical drawings and schematicsCapable of working both independently or as a team.Someone who can demonstrate longevity within their work history.
