Contract Type: (Full-time / Part-time / Temporary / Permanent)

Job Purpose

To provide high-quality, person-centred care and support to individuals, helping them maintain independence, dignity, and quality of life. The role involves assisting with daily living activities, promoting well-being, and supporting clients to achieve their personal goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care, including washing, dressing, toileting, and grooming in a respectful and dignified manner.
  • Support individuals with mobility and physical assistance, including the safe use of aids and equipment.
  • Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and ensuring proper nutrition and hydration.
  • Administer or prompt medication according to care plans and company policy (where trained and authorised).
  • Encourage clients’ participation in social, recreational, and community activities.
  • Support emotional well-being by building trusting and compassionate relationships.
  • Monitor and report changes in clients’ health, behaviour, or needs to supervisors or healthcare professionals.
  • Keep accurate, timely, and confidential records of care provided.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for service users.
  • Work in partnership with families, healthcare professionals, and colleagues to ensure continuity of care.
  • Follow all safeguarding, health and safety, and confidentiality policies.

Qualifications and Experience

  • NVQ Level 2/3 in Health and Social Care (or working towards) preferred.
  • Basic First Aid and Manual Handling training (advantageous).
  • Willingness to undergo a DBS check (or equivalent background screening).

Working Conditions

  • Shift-based work including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
  • Work may involve physical tasks such as lifting and supporting individuals.
  • Travel between service locations may be required (for community-based roles).
