About the Role

  1. We are looking for a compassionate and motivated Recovery Coordinator to join our specialist substance misuse service. You will support individuals affected by drug and alcohol dependency, helping them achieve sustainable recovery through person-centred care planning, risk management, and partnership working.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload of service users from assessment through to recovery and discharge.
  • Complete comprehensive assessments and develop personalised recovery plans.
  • Deliver ongoing key working sessions and regular reviews.
  • Coordinate interventions tailored to individual needs.
  • Signpost and refer service users to specialist services including:
  • Housing
  • Mental Health
  • Employment & Education
  • Benefits Advice
    • Physical Health Services
    • Promote harm reduction and safer substance use practices.
    • Carry out risk assessments and safeguarding procedures.
    • Maintain accurate electronic case records.
    • Work closely with multi-disciplinary teams and external agencies.
    • Encourage service users to build resilience, independence and long-term recovery.
    • Support individuals to access community recovery groups and peer support networks.
    • Ensure all work complies with safeguarding, confidentiality and GDPR requirements.

Essential Requirements

  • Experience working within substance misuse, mental health, homelessness, criminal justice or a related support setting.
  • Experience managing a caseload.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build positive and professional relationships.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to complete accurate records and reports.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and risk management.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Desirable

  • NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent).
  • Experience using case management systems.
  • Knowledge of recovery-focused interventions.
  • Understanding of trauma-informed practice.
  • Experience working within multi-agency environments.
