Overview
Our Security Team is looking for Uniformed Security Officers to join their diverse and experienced team. The Uniformed Security Officers are responsible for preventing and detecting offences against staff, visitors and contractors and will safeguard the company’s property, merchandise, monies and assets. In this role you will work closely with a team of Uniformed Security officers to actively patrol the store and be on the lookout for potential offences. You’ll liaise with employees, the public, and police on day-to-day security matters, meet with other investigative agencies and conduct inquiries on their behalf if needed. You’ll also keep up to date with any legislation that may affect your role. The role requires a 4 on 4 off shift pattern that may include working at other Company premises and will include weekends, night work, Bank Holidays or Public Holidays as normal days of work. Extra hours and/or days of work may be required and/or changed by the department, but with adequate notice (typically 48 hours) and therefore, a flexible approach is needed.
Responsibilities
- Actively patrol the store to deter and detect offences against staff, visitors, contractors, and company assets.
- Coordinate with employees, the public, and police on day-to-day security matters; liaise with other investigative agencies as needed; conduct inquiries on behalf of the company.
- Stay up to date with legislation that may affect the role.
About You
- Be passionate about security and safety and eager to develop yourself.
- Demonstrate proven experience delivering exceptional customer service and building strong team relationships.
- Operate in a highly detail-focused environment and deliver exceptional performance.
- Have exceptional interpersonal skills and proficiency in conflict management and resolution techniques.
- Display mental resilience to occupational hazards such as abusive or threatening behaviour and handling confrontation and pressure.
- Maintain a high standard of personal appearance and health/fitness capable of long periods of standing or patrolling, and handling confrontational situations.
- Hold an SIA Door Supervisor license or be able to obtain one if offered the role.
