Multi Skilled Electrical Engineer – Derby

As a Multi Skilled Electrical Engineer at JLL, you will be part of a team that shapes a brighter future for our client Rolls‑Royce and fellow employees. You will apply your expertise to design, install, and maintain electrical systems in various commercial and industrial settings, contributing to optimal work environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of low‑voltage electrical systems, including lighting, power distribution, fire alarm systems, security systems, emergency lighting, and access control.
• Conduct regular testing and inspection of low‑voltage electrical systems to ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and relevant codes.
• Identify, troubleshoot and resolve faults in low‑voltage electrical systems using appropriate diagnostic tools and techniques.
• Carry out repairs and replacements as necessary to ensure uninterrupted functionality.
• Plan and execute preventive maintenance tasks to minimize downtime, increase reliability, and extend lifespan of systems.
• Adhere to all health, safety and environmental policies and procedures, and report hazards or incidents promptly.
• Collaborate effectively with team members, contractors and clients to achieve project goals and customer satisfaction.
• Provide guidance and support to junior team members when required.
• Maintain accurate records of all work performed, including maintenance logs, inspection reports, work orders and equipment inventory.

Requirements

• C&G Level 2 and 3 Diploma Electrical Installation (or equivalent).
• C&G 2360 Parts 1 & 2 (Test & Inspection cert preferred).
• Strong experience with electrical and HVAC systems.
• Knowledge of heating and air conditioning systems, and of building fabric.
• Experience carrying out basic fabric reactive repairs when required.
• Sound understanding of health & safety obligations regarding maintenance activities.
• Prepared to work out of hours when required.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Positive ‘can do’ attitude.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Location & Hours

On‑site – Derby, GBR. Hours: 40 hours Monday‑Friday.
