Job Description
We’re looking for a reliable and experienced Class 1 HGV Driver to join our team in Birkenhead, operating a curtainsider trailer. This is a Monday to Friday role with no handball – the only manual work required is opening and closing the curtains. This company will also train you up on Class 1 tippers if you stay long‑term.
Pay Rates
Monday to Friday – £16.50/hr PAYE
Saturday – £19/hr PAYE
Sunday & Bank Holiday – £20/hr PAYE
All rates are PAYE. Holidays are accrued separately for paid time off!
What you’ll be doing
- Driving a Class 1 vehicle with a curtainsider trailer
- Ensuring timely and safe deliveries
- Starting at 05:30 each day
- Minimal physical work – just pulling curtains
Requirements
- Valid Class 1 (C+E) licence
- Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
- Previous experience with general haulage
- Good knowledge of UK road laws and safe driving practices
