Location: Healey
Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled QA Analyst to join our dynamic software development team.

Where Quality matters, so does the person who guards it.

We’re looking for a sharp, methodical QA Tester to join a growing software development team in Liverpool, building leading asset management technology used across the lifting and rigging sector.

If you take genuine pride in catching the bug nobody else spotted, and you know your way around Playwright this could be exactly the role you’re after.

The duties: What You’ll Be Doing

Test Planning – Build and maintain test plans, test cases, and scripts for every piece of software before it reaches a customer.

Functional & Regression Testing – Run functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing across the platform, then track defects through to resolution.

Automation with Playwright – Design, build, and maintain automated test suites, integrating them into the CI/CD pipeline to keep releases fast and reliable.

Defect Management – Log and prioritise issues in JIRA, producing clear, reproducible bug reports the dev team can actually act on.

Collaboration – Work closely with developers and product owners throughout the development lifecycle, helping build a genuine quality-first culture.

About you: What We’re Looking For:

2-5 years’ experience as a QA Tester or Software Tester within a software development supplier

Hands-on experience with Playwright for web automation, end-to-end testing, and scripting

Strong test design and execution skills across functional, regression and exploratory testing

Experience with JIRA or similar defect/project management tools

Sharp attention to detail – you spot the edge cases others miss

Clear communicator, comfortable explaining issues to technical and non-technical people alike

Nice To Have

API testing tools (Postman, REST Assured)

CI/CD pipeline and Git experience

Experience testing asset management, RFID, or inspection-based software

What’s In It For You

  • 33 days holiday (including bank holidays)
  • Liverpool-based role with a tight-knit, quality-driven dev team.
  • Free parking
  • On-site parking

Must be able to commute to Liverpool, and have “the right to work” status.

If “good enough” isn’t in your vocabulary, and you’d rather build a Playwright script than manually click through the same flow for the tenth time — apply now.

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Liverpool, Merseyside: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
