IT Engineer / Senior IT Engineer

The Role
You’ll be part of a highly skilled service delivery team, supporting a broad range of clients across Microsoft technologies, networking, infrastructure and cloud services.
Your day-to-day work will include resolving technical issues, delivering projects, and helping clients get the most from their IT. As your experience grows, you’ll take on increasing responsibility for project delivery, client onboarding, infrastructure deployments and technical leadership.
For senior candidates, you’ll also act as a technical escalation point, mentor other engineers, and play a key role in designing and implementing solutions for new and existing clients.
The role combines office-based work from our Bangor office with regular visits to client sites. Hybrid working may be available depending on experience and commute.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Providing high-quality technical support across a diverse client base.
- Troubleshooting and resolving complex infrastructure and Microsoft 365 issues.
- Delivering Microsoft 365, server and infrastructure projects.
- Onboarding new clients and implementing new environments.
- Configuring and supporting networking, switching and firewall solutions.
- Working closely with colleagues to deliver an outstanding client experience.
- (Senior Engineers) Acting as an escalation point for technical issues.
- (Senior Engineers) Mentoring and developing junior engineers.
- (Senior Engineers) Designing and architecting solutions for client environments.
What We’re Looking For
We’re interested in engineers with solid technical experience and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
You’ll have experience in most of the following:
- Microsoft 365 administration, support and troubleshooting
- Windows Server
- Networking and switching
- Firewalls
- Virtualisation (Hyper-V experience desirable)
- Microsoft 365 migrations and project delivery (particularly for senior applicants)
You’ll also be someone who:
- Has excellent problem-solving skills and enjoys tackling technical challenges.
- Communicates confidently with both clients and colleagues.
- Stays calm under pressure.
- Is motivated to learn and continuously develop.
- Enjoys working as part of a collaborative team.
Experience
- IT Engineer: Around 3+ years’ experience in IT support or managed services.
- Senior IT Engineer: 5+ years’ experience with strong technical depth, project delivery experience and the ability to mentor others.
