Overview
An excellent opportunity has arisen at London North West for a Cardiac Physiologist to join our Cath Lab/Echo/Pacing team. The role involves working across multiple sites and providing a wide range of cardiology services, including implantation and follow‑up of pacemakers and complex devices.
Responsibilities
- Rotate across multiple sites and support procedures in catheter laboratories.
- Perform angiography, PCI, CTO interventions, IVUS, OCT, FFR, EKOS, Inari, and pacing procedures with complex device implantation.
- Provide comprehensive pacing service, delivering device implantation and full follow‑up for single and dual‑chamber pacemakers and complex devices, both remotely and face‑to‑face.
- Undertake full range of invasive and non‑invasive procedures within the Cardiac Investigation service.
- Develop skills of junior team members, contribute to teaching, supervision, and mentorship.
- Work independently across all service areas, ensuring high standards of practice, effective workflow, and a safe, patient‑focused service.
Qualifications & Experience
- A BSc in Cardiac Physiology or equivalent is essential.
- Accreditation in cardiac devices (BHRS, EHRA or IBHRE) is desirable; BSE accreditation is essential for the Echo role.
- Experienced applicants without full accreditation may be appointed at Band 6 with a clear progression plan to Band 7 upon full accreditation.
