About the Role

The successful candidate will join a progressive, client-focused practice committed to providing high standards of veterinary care.

The role emphasises:

• Delivering excellent medical and surgical care to small animals.

• Using evidence-based medicine while taking a holistic approach to patient management.

Practice Features

• Independent practice with flexibility in clinical decision-making.

Visiting specialists including:

• Cardiologist
• Orthopaedic and soft tissue surgeon
• Separate dog and cat reception, consulting rooms and wards.
• On-site cattery.
• No out-of-hours work.

Working Pattern

• Locum applications welcomed while the permanent role is being recruited.
• 4-day working week.

Shifts:

• 1 in 3 Saturdays (9:00 am – 6:00 pm) with time off in lieu.
• No emergency or overnight rota.

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum 5 years’ UK small animal practice experience.
• Registered with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS).
• Demonstrate excellent communication and client care skills.
• Enthusiasm for high-quality clinical care and surgery.
• Be confident in both medical and surgical case management.
• Enjoy working as part of a collaborative, supportive team while also managing cases independently.

Salary & Benefits

• Salary up to £75,000 per year (depending on experience).
