Procurement People is currently representing a market-leading global professional services firm. We are looking for a Vendor Risk Management Analyst to join their Global Finance team in Manchester. This is a critical role focused on assessing, monitoring, and mitigating risks across an extensive international vendor base.
The Role
As a Vendor Risk Management Analyst, you will be responsible for the end-to-end risk lifecycle of the firm’s vendor relationships. You will conduct deep-dive due diligence for both new and existing vendors, identifying potential vulnerabilities and categorizing partners based on their risk profiles.
This is a highly visible position that requires sharp analytical skills to translate complex data into actionable risk mitigation strategies, ensuring the firm remains compliant and commercially secure.
Key Responsibilities
- Risk Assessment & Due Diligence:Analyse vendor risk profiles through comprehensive due diligence activities to identify vulnerabilities and categorize vendors by risk level.
- Compliance & Performance Monitoring:Ensure vendors adhere to contractual obligations and regulatory requirements, preparing detailed reports and dashboards for senior management.
- Mitigation Strategies:Develop and implement robust risk mitigation plans, collaborating closely with internal stakeholders and vendors to embed effective risk management practices.
- Performance Analysis:Review vendor metrics to assess service quality and cost-effectiveness, providing recommendations for continuous improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
- Audit Coordination:Lead and conduct vendor audits to evaluate compliance with internal policies and industry standards, following up on all corrective actions.
- Policy Development:Assist in maintaining and evolving vendor risk management policies to ensure alignment with global best practices.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience:Proven background in vendor risk management, compliance, or a related commercial risk role.
- Sector Background:Experience working within a large-scale professional services firm or a Fortune 500 environment is highly desirable.
- Analytical Skills:Strong proficiency in data analysis tools and the ability to interpret complex datasets.
- Communication:Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on delivering high-level customer service to internal teams.
- Education:A Bachelor’s degree is required; a Master’s degree or relevant Professional Certification is preferred.
