Our company is growing and expanding, and we have many opportunities to join our production team in Co. Armagh. Our fast-growing business makes innovative chocolates, snacks & granola under our Forest Feast, Acti-Snack & Just Live a Little brands, sold throughout the UK & Ireland.

As demand for our products continues to increase, we are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Production Planner to join our friendly team and help us increase our production capacity.

The Role

The role of a Production Planner is to effectively schedule the factorys production lines, optimising runs and minimising downtime based on allergens, whilst maintaining our Customer Service level.

Your main duties will include:

– Importing the forecast

– Production planning using computer software package Defacto /ERP/MRP etc.

– Running reports daily (min/max stock holding per product area)

– Planning BBE/levels & availability

– Analysing Forecast vs Sales & reporting

– Liaising with managers and other departments to ensure smooth running of production

– Using software to collect and analyse figures and produce schedules, ensuring the schedule is optimised in accordance with allergen management, minimising changeover where possible

– Checking raw materials for line and works orders, ensuring appropriate stock availability

– Updating the CSL report

– Updating BOM tables for packaging and raw material requirements

– Undertaking any other duties as required to fulfil the company needs.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

– Is reliable, punctual and willing to learn

– Has, at a minimum, GCSEs or equivalent in maths & English, at grade C or above

– Works well as part of a team

– Has experience in a production planning & scheduling environment

– Has good attention to detail

– Possesses good computer literacy and working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages

– Has excellent organisational skills

– Has excellent problem-solving skills

Previous experience of a computerised stock control system ERP would be helpful, but it is not essential, as full training will be provided.

Important Information

Our production facility handles nuts and peanuts. This role may therefore not be suitable for individuals with severe nut or peanut allergies.

Hours of work are Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm.
