Our Midlands client is seeking experienced and motivated Social Workers to join our Assessment & Intervention Team, where you’ll work with children and families at pivotal moments to ensure children are safe, supported, and able to thrive.

The Role

  • Complete timely and high-quality assessments of children and families.
  • Undertake Section 17 and Section 47 enquiries.
  • Develop and implement effective child-focused plans to reduce risk and improve outcomes.
  • Build positive relationships with children, families, partner agencies, and professionals.
  • Manage a diverse caseload while ensuring statutory responsibilities are met.
  • Prepare clear, evidence-based reports for meetings and court proceedings where required.
  • Work collaboratively to achieve permanence and positive long-term outcomes for children.

What We’re Looking For

  • Social Work England registration.
  • A recognised Social Work qualification (Degree, DipSW, CQSW or equivalent).
  • Experience within Children’s Services, ideally in Assessment, Safeguarding, or Front Door teams.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Children Act 1989 and Working Together to Safeguard Children guidance.
  • Excellent assessment, communication, and decision-making skills.
  • A child-centred approach with the ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • 3 years permanent experience in a Local Authority
