Mechanical Design Engineer — Fusion CAD/CAM & 5-Axis

University of Cambridge’s Cavendish Engineering seeks a highly capable engineer with a strong mechanical background to deliver consultation, design and manufacturing services for a diverse customer base. The role requires hands-on use of EDM, 5-axis machining, Milturn and Autodesk Fusion CAD/CAM, with emphasis on clear communication and multitasking across projects.

The ideal candidate will engage with customers at every stage, managing projects from concept through to fabrication.
