An exciting opportunity to join and further develop a well-established Construction (Design) desk within our Belfast business. Working with a broad range of clients across Architecture, Engineering, Project Management, Building Services and the wider Built Environment sector, you’ll inherit a strong platform of existing relationships, live vacancies and significant opportunity for growth.
Supported by Hays’ market-leading brand, extensive client network and longstanding reputation within the Construction & Property market, you’ll have the opportunity to build your presence within a specialist and highly respected industry.
What Can I Expect Day to Day?
As a Senior Recruitment Consultant, you’ll operate in a consultative and relationship-led environment, with responsibility for:
- Managing a specialist Construction desk focusing on Design across Northern Ireland.
- Recruiting for Architecture, Engineering, Building Services, Project Management and other Design-focused disciplines.
- Building and developing long-term relationships with existing and prospective clients.
- Managing the full recruitment lifecycle, from vacancy qualification through to offer management and placement.
- Developing and executing strategic business development plans to grow your market presence.
- Networking with industry professionals and building a strong candidate pipeline.
- Advising clients on market trends, salary benchmarking and talent attraction strategies.
- Becoming a recognised specialist within the Construction Design sector.
- Delivering exceptional candidate and client experiences while driving commercial success.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
- A proven track record within agency recruitment, professional services recruitment or a commercial business development role.
- Strong relationship-building and business development skills.
- A consultative approach with the ability to influence and advise clients.
- Commercial awareness, resilience and ambition.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive mindset and passion for building long-term partnerships.
- An interest in the Construction, Architecture or Engineering markets would be advantageous.
- A desire to establish yourself as a market specialist within a high-demand sector.
