Fuel Recruitment is working with a leading telecommunications provider that is looking for a Cloud VoIP Engineer to join its growing customer service team in Lincoln.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced telecoms professional with strong LG iPECS expertise to support a wide range of cloud-based VoIP and networking solutions for SME customers across the North and Midlands. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining high service levels, supporting customer deployments, and delivering technical excellence.

The role is primarily office-based in Lincoln, with approximately one customer site visit per week for installations, troubleshooting, and on-site support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, configure and maintain telecoms and networking infrastructure including routers, switches, IP phones and wireless access points.
  • Manage and update fault tickets, ensuring all activity and progress is accurately documented within CRM systems.
  • Respond to customer incidents and service requests within SLA across FTTC, FTTP, leased line, 5G and ADSL services.
  • Support customer provisioning, onboarding, number porting and system configuration activities.
  • Provide technical support to customers via phone, email and on-site visits, building strong professional relationships.
  • Deliver user training and guidance on VoIP and telephony systems, while supporting structured cabling installations and troubleshooting.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience installing, configuring and supporting Cloud VoIP systems.
  • Strong understanding of SIP, VoIP technologies and hosted telephony platforms.
  • Experience supporting networking equipment including DrayTek, Zyxel, Technicolor, Ubiquiti and TP-Link solutions.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills across telephony, connectivity and networking environments.
  • Experience completing structured cabling work, including Cat5/Cat6 termination, patching and patch panel management.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills with a customer-first approach.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Full UK driving licence essential.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace.
  • Experience supporting leased line and broadband provisioning.
  • Understanding of VLANs, QoS, DHCP, NAT and general network configuration principles.
