Metalis are recruiting for an Electrical Assembly Operative to join a well-established manufacturer based in Middleton. You’ll be assembling and testing electrical panels used within a range of innovative products for well-known brands and blue-chip companies. What’s the Job?

  • Assembly and testing of lighting and electrical panels
  • Electrical wiring and LED installation
  • Working from engineering drawings and technical specifications
  • Carrying out visual inspections to ensure quality and accuracy
  • Ensuring correct component placement and safe power routing
  • Working closely with an experienced production team
  • Maintaining high standards of workmanship and quality throughout production

What Kind of Person Fits This Job?

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in electrical assembly or soldering
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering or production drawings
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Able to manage your own workload and work to deadlines
  • A reliable team player with a positive attitude
  • Flexible to work overtime when required

Desirable but not essential:

  • Previous experience with LED products

The Basics:

  • Permanent position

  • 13.50 per hour, increasing to 14.00 per hour after successful probation
