Our Technology and ServiceNow teamsitsat the heart of delivering efficient,scalableand value-driven solutions across Aberdeen. Working closely with business stakeholders, Product Owners, delivery teams and external partners, the team supports strategic transformation and continuous improvement initiatives. Through collaborative Agile ways of working, we enable smarter processes, stronger governance and enhanced services that help Aberdeen deliver on its purpose of enabling our clients to be better investors.
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst / Scrum Master to join our Edinburgh-based team on a permanent basis. This is a pivotal role that combines business analysisexpertisewith Agile delivery leadership to drive change across a mature and evolving ServiceNow environment. You will act as the bridge between business and technology teams, ensuring priorities are clear, requirements are welldefinedand delivery teams are empowered to deliver high-quality outcomes. The role offers excellent exposure to senior stakeholders, strategicinitiativesand platform innovation, making it an exciting opportunity to develop your career while making a measurable impact. Key Responsibilities
Partner with stakeholders to capture,analyseand refine business requirements, translating needs into user stories, features,epicsand acceptance criteria.
Facilitate Agile ceremonies,workshopsand backlog refinement sessions that drive collaboration,transparencyand delivery momentum.
Support Product Owners in shaping demand,prioritisingworkandmaintaininga value-driven backlog aligned to business outcomes.
Remove delivery obstacles, manage dependencies and coordinate across teams,suppliersand stakeholders to enable successfulchangedelivery.
Support testing, business readiness and solution validation activities to ensure outcomes meet agreed requirements andobjectives.
Identifyopportunities for process improvement,automationand innovation through effective use of ServiceNow capabilities.
About the Candidate – Essential skills
Proven experience as a Business Analyst within Agile technology delivery environments.
Experience working with ServiceNow and a strong understanding of core platform capabilities.
Excellent stakeholder management,facilitationand communication skills.
Experience managing backlogs, requirements and priorities using Azure DevOps,Jiraor similar tools.
Ability to manage risks,dependenciesand competing priorities within a fast-paced environment.
Desirable:
ServiceNow certifications
Experience in complex ServiceNow environments,
Working with third-party or offshore teams,
Professional certifications such as CBAP, BCS Business Analysis, PSM, CSM,AgilePMorSAFe.
