Qualified Social Worker – Supervising Social Worker (SSW) – Fostering Team

Birmingham Children’s Trust

Pay Rate: DOE (Dependent on Experience) Location: B6 4DU, Birmingham

Eden Brown Synergy are currently looking for an experienced and motivated Qualified Social Worker to join the Fostering Team as a Supervising Social Worker at Birmingham Children’s Trust.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a dedicated Fostering Team, supporting foster carers to provide safe, stable and nurturing homes for children and young people. You will supervise and support foster carers, undertake fostering assessments, complete statutory visits and reviews, and work collaboratively with children, families and partner agencies to achieve positive outcomes.

Key Skills Required

  • Experience within Fostering, Kinship or Children’s Services
  • Strong knowledge of fostering regulations, safeguarding and statutory guidance
  • Experience supervising and supporting foster carers
  • Ability to undertake assessments and contribute to care planning
  • Excellent communication, report writing and multi‑agency working skills
  • Social Work England registration required

Essential Requirements

  • Social Work Qualification – Degree or equivalent
  • Registered with Social Work England
  • Previous experience within Children’s Services
  • Strong knowledge of fostering legislation and safeguarding practice
