We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and dedicated Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to join our welcoming mainstream primary school in Birmingham. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference by supporting children with a range of additional needs, helping them to achieve their full potential in a nurturing and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with SEN.
- Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver personalised learning.
- Support pupils with communication, emotional regulation, and social development.
- Encourage independence, confidence, and positive behaviour.
- Help create a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment.
We Are Looking For Someone Who
- Has experience working with children with SEN (desirable but not essential).
- Is patient, compassionate, and resilient.
- Has excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Holds a relevant Teaching Assistant qualification or is willing to undertake training.
