Our client is seeking an experienced Employment Paralegal (3 years) to support managing a diverse caseload of labor and employment matters. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced legal environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assists attorneys with all phases of employment litigation, including discovery, depositions, and trial preparation
- Drafts, reviews, and organizes pleadings, motions, briefs, and correspondence
- Manages document production, including collection, review, and privilege logs
- Conducts legal research on employment statutes, regulations, and case law (e.g., FMLA, ADA, Title VII, FLSA)
- Communicates with clients, opposing counsel, and courts regarding case status and scheduling
- Prepares and organizes exhibits, trial binders, and witness files
- Tracks deadlines and maintains case calendars using firm case management software
- Assists with administrative charges before agencies such as the EEOC and state labor departments
- Supports investigations related to workplace complaints (harassment, discrimination, wage disputes)
