The Role
You’ll take ownership of core reporting activities while acting as a key point of contact across the wider finance function, supporting everything from statutory reporting and technical accounting to process improvements and business-wide projects.
This role would suit someone who enjoys solving problems, improving the way finance operates and working across multiple areas of the business. Whether it’s supporting year-end reporting, implementing new accounting standards or enhancing reporting processes, you’ll play an integral role in ensuring Finance continues to operate efficiently as the business grows.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead month-end, quarter-end and year-end reporting processes.
- Prepare statutory financial statements and support Group reporting activities.
- Manage balance sheet reviews, reconciliations and financial controls.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS, UK GAAP and internal accounting policies.
- Support the external audit process and liaise with auditors.
- Prepare Board reporting and financial analysis for senior stakeholders.
- Drive improvements across reporting, systems and finance processes.
- Partner with finance teams across the business to ensure reporting accuracy.
- Support technical accounting matters and the implementation of new accounting standards.
- Contribute to finance transformation and strategic projects.
About You
- Experience within Accounting, Financial Reporting, Group Reporting or Financial Control.
- Experience within a consumer-facing business is essential.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge, including IFRS and UK GAAP.
- Experience preparing statutory accounts and financial reporting.
- Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Confident working with senior stakeholders and external auditors.
- Advanced Excel skills with experience using ERP and reporting systems.
