Transport Planner Full Time | BallymenaKey Details:

• Location: Ballymena
• Salary: £Competitive, dependent on experience
• Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
• Hours: 8:00am 6:00pm, 1 Saturday in 3 plus 1 on-call shift in 6

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Transport Planner to join their busy operations team in Ballymena.

• This is a fantastic opportunity to join an award-winning transport and logistics business where you’ll coordinate daily vehicle movements across the UK and Ireland. Working closely with drivers, customers and subcontractors, you’ll help ensure operations run efficiently while delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and optimise daily transport routes across the UK and Ireland.
• Liaise with drivers, customers and internal departments.
• Monitor vehicle movements and service performance.
• Conduct driver pre-briefs and debriefs.
• Resolve operational issues quickly and effectively.
• Assist with KPI reporting and operational performance monitoring.

Criteria:

• Previous experience in Transport Planning or Fleet Coordination.
• Good geographical knowledge of the UK and Ireland.
• Understanding of Tachograph Regulations and the Working Time Directive.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Calm, proactive approach to problem solving.
• CPC qualification desirable but not essential.
