About the Role
We are currently recruiting an experienced Wheeled Shovel Operative to join our team on a permanent night shift. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely operating a wheeled shovel, loading materials into the plant feed system, and supporting daily site operations.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced operator looking for a stable night shift role with competitive pay.
Key Responsibilities
- Operating a wheeled shovel safely and efficiently
- Loading material into the plant feed system
- Loading lorries as required
- Carrying out daily vehicle walkaround checks
- Recording and reporting any defects to the Supervisor on duty
- Ensuring all site procedures and Health & Safety standards are followed
- Cleaning work areas and maintaining a tidy working environment
- Ensuring the vehicle is cleaned, maintained, and refuelled at the end of each shift
- Preparing the vehicle ready for the next shift
Requirements
- Valid Wheeled Shovel Operator licence required
- Previous experience operating wheeled shovel machinery essential
- Good understanding of site safety procedures
- Reliable, hardworking, and able to work independently
- Good attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards
