Salary: £25,326 – £28,062 per annum pro rata of £31,236 – £34,610 (pro-rata 30 hours) – SS4

Job type: Permanent, Part time (30 hours per week)

The Role:

Are you passionate about sustainability and threading sustainable practices into University services and the wider student experience?

We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to join our Estates Department as a Sustainability Officer. A fantastic opportunity for the right candidate to gain hands on experience and continue to develop during this exciting time of University College Birmingham's sustainability journey. This role will be at the core of the next stage of maturity of University College Birmingham's Sustainability provision and will encompass developing a range of responsibilities, providing you with the chance to grow your skills and create a meaningful impact.

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate competence in sustainability topics such as events, project management, award and bid writing, governance, and harnessing stakeholder engagement across staff, students and the wider community, while exhibiting a readiness to exercise attention to detail and organisational skills. Your success will also depend on the foundations of good communication and collaboration abilities, with a commitment to continued learning and professional development.
