About the job
We are looking for a compassionate, motivated and customer-focused Assessment and Connections Officer to join our Telecare Cardiff team.
In this varied and rewarding role, you will be the first point of contact for many potential customers, responding to enquiries, assessing individual requirements and supporting people to access telecare services that enhance their independence and quality of life.
You will be responsible for installing and maintaining dispersed alarm units and associated telecare equipment, carrying out assessments in customers’ homes and providing clear explanations of how the equipment works.
What We Are Looking For From You
We are looking for a caring, customer-focused individual who is passionate about helping people remain safe, independent and connected within their own homes. You will have excellent communication skills and be able to build positive relationships with customers, their families and partner agencies, adapting your approach to meet a range of individual needs.
You will be confident using technology and IT systems and be comfortable learning about telecare equipment and associated products. As this is a varied role involving both customer-facing and administrative responsibilities, you will need strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
We are seeking someone who can work independently using their own initiative, while also being a supportive and reliable team member. You will be flexible, adaptable and able to respond positively to change, demonstrating a commitment to continuous improvement and delivering high standards of customer service.
Most importantly, you will have a genuine desire to help others, taking ownership of your work and always striving to achieve the best possible outcomes for customers. The ability to speak Welsh or additional community languages would be welcomed, as would experience of working in a customer-focused, health, social care or technology-based environment.
