About the Role

A vibrant and creative primary school located in Chorlton is looking for an enthusiastic General Teaching Assistant to join their Key Stage 1 team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a committed TA—or a graduate looking to gain school experience—to join a supportive, forward-thinking team.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons across Key Stage 1.
• Lead small-group intervention sessions in Phonics, Reading, and Numeracy.
• Assist with classroom preparation, display boards, and learning resources.
• Promote inclusive learning and foster positive social interactions among pupils.

Role Requirements

• Relevant experience working within a UK primary school setting.
• Good literacy and numeracy skills (GCSE Grade C/4 or equivalent in English & Maths).
• A proactive, energetic attitude and a genuine passion for early education.

Mandatory DBS & Safeguarding Requirements

• Enhanced DBS Certificate on the Children’s Barred List (or willingness to process a new one).
• Proof of Right to Work in the UK.
• Minimum of two satisfactory professional references.
• Commitment to promoting and safeguarding the welfare of young children
