The EastMidlands has ambitious plans to improve the energy efficiency of homes, reducecarbon emissions and support green jobs and skills. We’re looking for amotivated Project Support Officer – Domestic Retrofit to help deliverthe East Midlands Retrofit Strategy and support the region’s transition to moresustainable homes.

This is anexciting opportunity for someone with project support experience who isinterested in retrofit, sustainability or energy efficiency and is keen todevelop their career in a growing and high-impact area.

Workingalongside technical experts, local authorities, housing providers and industrypartners, you’ll help coordinate projects, build partnerships and supportprogrammes that make a real difference to people and communities across theregion.

About therole

As ProjectSupport Officer, you’ll provide project and administrative support across arange of domestic retrofit initiatives, helping to deliver projects thatimprove home energy efficiency and build the capacity of the East Midlandsretrofit sector.

You’ll supportprogramme planning, stakeholder engagement, reporting and governance whileworking closely with partners including housing providers, contractors,training providers, community organisations and local authorities.

What you’llbe doing

You’ll:

  • Support the day-to-day delivery ofprojects within the East Midlands Retrofit Strategy.
  • Assist with the planning,coordination and monitoring of retrofit programmes and commissionedprojects.
  • Build and maintain positiverelationships with housing providers, contractors, local authorities,training providers and community organisations.
  • Support the identification offunding opportunities and potential collaborative projects.
  • Collect, analyse and presentproject performance information to support decision-making.
  • Prepare reports, briefings andpresentation materials for senior colleagues and stakeholder groups.
  • Support procurement activity,including preparing specifications and tender documentation.
  • Coordinate meetings, workshops andstakeholder events, including providing secretariat support for the EastMidlands Retrofit Strategy Steering Group.
  • Research emerging policy, bestpractice and innovation from across the UK to help inform programmedevelopment.
  • Represent EMCCA at meetings,conferences and engagement events where appropriate.

  • A broad understanding of domesticretrofit and the role it plays in improving energy efficiency andsupporting the green economy.
  • Strong relationship-buildingskills, with the ability to engage confidently with a wide range ofstakeholders.
  • Experience using data to identifytrends, produce insights and support informed decision-making.
  • Excellent communication andinterpersonal skills.
  • Strong organisational skills withthe ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Good analytical and problem-solvingskills.
  • Experience supporting projects orprogrammes and contributing to successful delivery.
  • A relevant degree or equivalentprofessional experience.
  • Experience supporting thedevelopment or delivery of projects within the public, housing,construction, sustainability or energy sectors.
  • Experience preparing reports,briefings or performance information for managers or stakeholders.
