Job Title: Children’s Residential Support Worker

Job Description
Children’s Residential Support Worker opportunities are available with a leading specialist provider supporting young people in Exeter, Devon. You’ll join a supportive residential team focused on creating a safe, nurturing environment where children and young people can thrive. Shifts offer flexibility and will initially run 07:30 – 22:00, progressing to sleep-in once the children are familiar with you.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting children and young people with daily routines, activities, and interests
- Promoting independence, confidence, and overall wellbeing within the home setting in Exeter
- Providing emotional and practical support, including during challenging situations and behaviours
- Following care plans, risk assessments, and safeguarding procedures to maintain safety and welfare
- Attending trips and activities (e.g., weekends away, holidays, and outings) to support positive experiences
Requirements & Qualifications
- At least 6 months’ experience working with children/young people or within a similar social care setting
- A genuine commitment to improving outcomes for vulnerable children and young people
- An empathetic, caring, and resilient approach
- Full UK driving licence
- Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
- Right to work in the UK
