Position: Secondary School Cleaner
Location: Variety of schools across Sheffield
Pay Rate: £14.24 – £16.00 per hour (inclusive of holiday pay)
Higher rate dependent upon experience, training, qualifications, and client rate available.

Academics is looking for a reliable and hardworking Secondary School Cleaner to maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness across Sheffield schools, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for pupils and staff.
What You’ll Do:
- Perform daily cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting
- Sanitise high-touch areas such as door handles, desks, and communal surfaces
- Ensure classrooms, corridors, toilets, and dining areas are kept spotless and hygienic
- Replenish supplies and manage waste disposal in line with school policies

What You Need:
- Previous cleaning experience (school or commercial setting desirable)
- Knowledge of cleaning products, equipment, and safe chemical use
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive work ethic
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply)
- Two professional references
