Music and Drama Teacher – Coventry

About the role:

Justteachers is seeking an enthusiastic and creative Music & Drama Teacher to join a welcoming secondary school in Coventry for a full time long term position in September. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate teacher who can inspire pupils through engaging lessons and encourage confidence, creativity, and self-expression across the performing arts.

You’ll be joining a supportive staff team in a school that values creativity, participation, and high expectations for all learners. The role involves planning and delivering Music and Drama lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, supporting pupils to develop practical performance skills, subject knowledge, and a love of the arts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging Music and Drama lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages creativity and participation.
• Support pupils in developing performance, composition, communication, and evaluation skills.
• Assess pupil progress and provide constructive feedback to help learners achieve their potential.
• Work collaboratively with the performing arts department and wider school staff to support curriculum delivery.

Pre-requisites:

• Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching Music and/or Drama within a secondary school setting.
• Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver engaging practical and theory-based lessons.
• Confident classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Two relevant teaching references.
