AX2081 – Personal Assistant / Morning Carer Required – 7 hours per week (HU5 area)
A Personal Assistant / Carer is required to support a 76 year old gentleman in his own home with his morning routine. This is a short, daily visit aimed at promoting independence, maintaining routine, and providing reassurance and companionship.
The gentleman is friendly and experienced a stroke a few years ago, resulting in aphasia which affects his speech. He has full mental capacity and understands everything around him. He communicates using gestures and non verbal cues, so patience, good observation skills, and a calm approach are essential.
Duties include:
- Supporting with his morning routine
- Assistance with dressing where required
- Prompting and ensuring medication is taken
- Providing reassurance and maintaining a consistent routine
- Being mindful of safety, as he can occasionally be unsteady
This position would suit someone who is kind, patient, reliable, and able to work in a calm and consistent manner.

Rate of pay: £12.71
Hours: 10 Per week (7:30am – 8:30am, 6 days per week)
