CNC Field Service Engineer

Location: Home-based, preferably West Midlands (other UK locations considered)Salary: £35,000–£60,000 per annum, depending on experienceHours: 40 hours per weekTravel: UK-wide, with occasional international travel

Groomfield Recruitment is currently recruiting for an experienced CNC Field Service Engineer to join a leading European CNC machine manufacturer.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer looking for a varied, customer-facing role with excellent training, a competitive salary and significant career development opportunities.

The Role

You will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, servicing, fault finding and repair of CNC lathes at customer sites across the UK. The role will also involve programming; applications support and customer training.

The technical scope covers mechanical and electrical systems, Fanuc CNC controls and gantry robotics.

Full product training will be provided, including factory training in Northern Spain.

Key Requirements

  • Proven CNC lathe service or maintenance experience – essential
  • Mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills
  • Knowledge of Fanuc CNC controls
  • Ability to read electrical and mechanical schematics
  • CNC programming experience advantageous
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Willingness to travel extensively throughout the UK and occasionally overseas
