Senior Health Care Assistant
As a Senior Health Care Assistant, you will provide essential care and support to patients, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and well-being. You will assist with personal care, mobility, medication, and health monitoring, while supervising junior care staff and ensuring high standards of care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with personal care, including bathing, dressing, feeding, and toileting.
- Support mobility, transfers, and physical exercises.
- Administer medication according to care plans and training.
- Monitor and record patients’ health, symptoms, and behaviour.
- Supervise and support junior HCAs.
- Contribute to team meetings and improve patient care.
Requirements:
- Health & Social Care NVQ Level 3–5.
- Valid DBS or willingness to complete one.
- Medication Administration Practical Training Certificate.
- Moving & Handling Practical Training Certificate.
- Previous senior healthcare or supervisory experience.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Good knowledge of healthcare standards and regulations.
