Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced and organised Transport Coordinator Supervisorto manage the day-to-day coordination of transport operations, ensuring deliveries are planned efficiently, customers are kept informed and transport requirements are met safely and cost-effectively.

The role requires excellent communication skills, as you will liaise closely with drivers, customers and internal teams including Production, Internal Sales, After Service and Installation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate daily transport operations, including drivers, vehicles and delivery routes.
  • Act as the main point of contact for drivers and provide support with day-to-day delivery requirements.
  • Liaise with customers to ensure deliveries are coordinated effectively and information is communicated clearly.
  • Work closely with Production, Internal Sales, After Service and Installation teams.
  • Arrange and manage third-party transport providers when required.
  • Monitor deliveries and resolve any operational issues or delays.
  • Provide accurate transport and installation costs.
  • Ensure transport activities comply with relevant UK transport legislation and company procedures.
  • Cover for the Transport Manager during periods of absence.

Administration & Other Duties

  • Prepare and print delivery notes and transport documentation.
  • Report and chase daily shortages.
  • Provide driver details for pre-site deliveries.
  • Provide export packing specifications.
  • Assist with loading/boxing at Boss Drive and Building 44 when required.
  • Support the company’s annual stocktake.

Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience in transport, logistics or a similar operational environment.
  • Good knowledge of UK transport legislation and compliance.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks in a busy environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Good attention to detail and IT skills.
  • A proactive, practical and customer-focused approach.
